Leawood East’s Local Missions Teams actively share the love of God by serving others in our community. We have ongoing relationships with each of the following area ministries:

North American Missions
Leawood East's North American Missions Teams is committed to bringing the gospel of Christ to people all across the United States and her neighbors.You'll find teams from Leawood East heading to such locations as New Orleans and Shreveport, LA, Chicago, IL, Walters, OK, Murphy, NC, and Belt Buckle, TN.

International Missions
Leawood East's International Missions Teams serve God and spread the Word in countries all over the world.
Our teams have taken trips to Brazil and the Phillippines, where churches are planted, missionaries are ministered to, and lives are changed. Leawood East’s IMAGE Ministry is a collection of ministries within our church, with the corporate goal of enabling our members and guests to worship in a friendly, genuine, and safe environment.
This ministry, whose name is the short form of “I Meet And Greet Everyone”, is focused on doing just what our name says—welcoming and providing helpful information for guests and members alike. Volunteers in the IMAGE Ministry may serve as Parking Lot Attendants, Greeters at our entrances, Ushers during our worship services, Outreach volunteers, and members of our Security Team. The IMAGE Ministry also includes those volunteers who serve as Decision Counselors, Baptism Attendants, First Responders, and those trained in First Aid.

It takes teamwork to run the day-to-day operations of Leawood East. From the grounds to the facilities, the Operations Ministry handles many of the “behind the scene” projects that help Leawood East run so smoothly.

Many creative minds work together to produce worship services and events at Leawood East. From the musical aspects of the choir, praise team, and praise band, to the technical side of our services and events, there is a huge collaboration of inspiration and ideas to create the atmosphere and environment at Leawood East.

With so many families at Leawood East, it’s no surprise that there are many preschoolers, children and students who are wondering what it means to accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior. From simply learning about God’s love as a preschooler to learning how to grow in your relationship with our Father, the Leawood East Family Ministry strives to provide a loving, caring environment for young people to learn to worship God, grow together, and serve others.

Leawood East’s athletic ministry provides quality coaching, an encouraging environment, and fun recreation for kids of all ages. Want to share your love of sports with boys and girls in our community? Leawood East needs volunteers to coach, maintain our fields and courts, and sell concessions.

The Bible Study Fellowship and DiscipleLife Ministries strive to help adults as they grow in their relationship with the Lord. Through weekly classes or small group studies, taking a deeper look at God’s Word is considered the “next step” at Leawood East.
